Prof. Leanna Fuller of Pittsburg Theological Seminary on Conflict & Reconciliation – March 18 at Westwood Presbyterian Church

On Tuesday, March 18, Westwood Presbyterian Church will be hosting a very timely presentation by Prof. Leanna Fuller:

“Healing the Broken Body: Engaging Conflict and Practicing Reconciliation in the Church and the World.”

The Rev. Dr. Leanna Fuller is a professor of Pastoral Care at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She writes:

“In times of heightened polarization and tension within faith communities, what are the primary tasks of leadership and care? This presentation will seek to answer this question by first introducing participants to the basic dynamics of conflict that emerge in religious settings. Then, drawing on themes of healing, listening, and dignity, we will explore what reconciliation might look like in communities that have experienced division or discord in their midst. Participants will also learn about specific skills and practices faith communities can cultivate in order to live more fully into their identity as the body of Christ.”

The schedule is:

10 am    Presentation Part I
12 pm    Lunch
1 pm      Presentation Part II
