Now Receiving Applications for the Oroville Mission Trip

YOU ARE INVITED to apply for our first mission trip OPEN TO ALL since the COVID-19 pandemic! Apply HERE to our mission trip to Oroville, CA, September 29-October 5, 2024. We are rebuilding homes for low income and working class families after the devastating Camp Fire in 2018, organized by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. This mission trip is a historic partnership between Pacific Presbytery and the National Black Presbyterian Caucus of Southern California and Hawaii (NBPC-SC).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Planning Team continued to meet monthly, with faith that God was calling us to lead another mission trip after the pandemic. In the spring of 2023 our Planning Team went on a scouting trip to Northern California to rebuild homes in the town of Paradise, CA. We had a fantastic experience, and we are now ready to lead a larger, Presbytery-wide mission trip to Northern California September 29-October 5, 2024. Apply HERE to join our amazing team!

Pacific Presbytery has a history spanning twenty years of disaster relief ministry. Our Planning Team is seasoned with decades of experience leading mission trips. Read about our disaster response to California wildfires and the Maui fires in partnership with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. Read about our history sending mission trips in response to natural disasters, in partnership with the National Black Presbyterian Caucus of Southern California and Hawaii (NBPC-SC).

Applications are being received through July 31, 2024. We will have an interview process for all applicants the first two weeks of August, and several pre-trip sessions in August and September before leaving for Northern California September 29-October 5.

Again, apply HERE for this wonderful opportunity to put your faith in action and experience Christian community in service to the world. Please contact Rev. Heidi Worthen Gamble, Mission Catalyst, with any questions: heidi@pacificpresbytery.org
