Camp Fire Recovery Mission Trip
September 29-October 5, 2024
Cost: $850 (LA participants), $1200 (Hawaii participants)
Please note: Limited spaces are available for this trip. Your application will be reviewed and you will be interviewed by the Pacific Coast Planning Team. You will be notified of your eligibility for the trip within a few weeks of your application. Please see the timeline of payments (below) and covenant agreement for this trip.

Paperwork and payments:
Application and $100 deposit due: 7/31/24 *non-refundable if the application is accepted
First payment of $400 LA/$550 Hawaii, plus identification due: 8/15/24
Second payment of $350 LA/$550 Hawaii, plus all paperwork due: 9/15/24
Approved applicants will receive an invoice for making online payments.
Those who pay by check must hand deliver their payment directly to Rev. Heidi.

Pre-trip meetings:
First and second weeks of August: Scheduled interviews for new travelers [VIRTUAL, TIME TBA]
First pre-trip meeting: 8/18 (Sunday) from 3-5 pm [VIRTUAL]
Second pre-trip meeting: 9/15 (Sunday) from 3-5 pm [IN PERSON, LOCATION TBA]
Presbytery commissioning and group lunch: 9/21 (Saturday) from 10 am-4 pm [IN PERSON, LOCATION TBA]

Post-trip meeting [VIRTUAL, TIME TBA]
*PLEASE NOTE:
Participants must be 18 years or older. 14-17 year olds must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please include the name of the adult that will attend with the minor, as well as fill out a separate application for each.
If you are a new traveler, an interview is mandatory. This is our opportunity to get to know you, and for you to get to know us and the expectations of this mission trip. We are only taking a few new travelers and have limited space.
Pre-trip meetings are mandatory for all travelers. Our meetings will be held on Zoom, but there will be some in-person gatherings. Please check your calendar to make sure you are available for these meeting dates when you apply.
Confidentiality: If any private information is shared, it will be held as confidential to the leadership team only, unless the information is for medical information and determined to be shared for safety purposes.
