Mark Lee will soon be deployed to Iraq

UPDATE: February 3

"I am requesting prayers from the Presbytery. First for my dad, Frank Lee, who just passed away tonight. Second for my upcoming deployment to Iraq in a few weeks.

This week has been one of the best and worst ones. I was just celebrating the completion of my DMin and then my dad dies. Thanks for your prayers; sure need them." -------Mark

UPDATE:January 9 2009

Mission Challenge 07Captain Mark Lee is back at Ft. Lewis in Washington state where he is taking additional work in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and is working on a D.Min. degree. He will learn sometime in February what his next assignment will be beginning in June 2009.

From Mark's December report:
"CPE and D.Min work continue to be rigorous, but enjoyable and a great time for reflection, contemplation, learning and growth for me. We just finished the second unit of CPE, so I look forward to a little bit of downtime during the holidays, albeit a week. In early Jan 09, I will be at Erskine Seminary for another three weeks of classes, to complete the coursework requirements of the D.Min. My family is doing well and coping with the ongoing changes, including the possible change to our residence come June 09. We are still prayerful that we would be able to stabilize her for another three years, but we are open to wherever God will lead us. Please join us in our prayers. We also wish everyone at PCCMP and the Presbytery all the very best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. "

Please read Captain Lee's report from his 2006-2007 service here.
Please keep these, and other chaplains serving throughout the world in your prayers. If you have an opportunity to provide support of any kind (cards, e-mails of encouragement, etc.) to our chaplains please ask the stated clerk for contact information so that the chaplains may correspond directly with you.
